ACRP Staff Values

In January 2009, ACRP staff members began the process of developing a statement of the set of Core Values that they use to support the mission of the Association: To provide global leadership to promote integrity and excellence for the clinical research profession.

The Values were generated, discussed, and edited by all staff members, and are supported by the Association Board of Trustees.
All staff members believe that these Values serve the Association’s mission in the best way possible:

Our members always come first.

We treat our members, and others with whom we have working relationships, the way we want to be treated. They are the reason for the Association’s existence and the focus of all our efforts. We listen actively to their inquiries and requests, are courteous and respectful, and respond quickly and efficiently to provide for their needs.

In a word – SERVICE

Our employees are just as important as our members.

We respect each other as professionals and treat one another as we want to be treated. We foster employee growth, well-being, and development. We practice listening, helping, being proactive, accepting challenges as opportunities to grow, and encouraging one another to be inquisitive and to learn something new about clinical research every day. We strive to get to know people as individuals and support them to be able to bring all of their gifts and talents to the workplace.

We practice open, effective communication…

…with the members and among ourselves, in the office and outside the office, personally and professionally. By never getting stuck in our own individual roles, we believe in active dialogue, constructive feedback, listening and responding in a timely and respectful manner, collaborating, sharing, and understanding and validating the roles of others.

We foster creative thinking.

We encourage taking initiative, gaining new perspectives on day-to-day work, seeking to find not just A solution but to find the BEST solution, accepting all problems as opportunities for innovation, validating all ideas as ways to find new ideas for services, processes, and products, and pursuing excellence so that we never accept the status quo. Because everyone is open to do different things and to do things differently, we expect and celebrate change as necessary for continuous growth.

…by taking responsibility for our actions; by trusting one another and following through with complete accountability; and by empowering each other so that we each can bring the best of who we are and what we have to offer to the workplace. We can differentiate ACRP from the competition through our honesty and accountability with each other and with the membership.
