2013 Association Board of Trustees Nominations and Election

2013 Board Nominations Open in May 2012

The updated candidate handbook and nomination form will be coming in April.

Each year, the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) seeks proven leaders to serve on the Association Board of Trustees (ABoT). This is a great opportunity to serve your association and make a difference within ACRP membership. The 2012 Board Election is open now through December 16, 2011. If you did not receive an email or letter in the mail with a link to the ballot and your unique Election Number and Election Passcode, please contact ACRP Governance Manager, Megan Balkovic, at mbalkovic@acrpnet.org.

The Nominating Committee reviewed all the application forms individually and as a Committee, came up with a slate of candidates to present to the ACRP Board of Trustees. The selected slate was based on the following factors: (1) the number of open board seats at the time, (2) the competencies needed to ensure the Board of Trustees is representative of the membership and (3) the skills necessary for the Board to make the best decisions possible on behalf of the membership. The membership is then asked to vote on the slate of candidates rather than voting for or against each individual candidate. Please be assured that the slate of Trustee candidates put forth by the Nominating Committee to the Board is the result of the committees’ careful and diligent consideration of each application that it receives. Candidates will be notified of the results of the election prior to December 31, 2011.

Every year, ACRP seeks members from both within and outside the United States, who can think globally, to apply for a seat on its ABoT. Candidates must be ACRP Members in good standing and possess clinical research knowledge, leadership, business, and/or finance skills to complement the current Board of Trustees in fulfilling and advancing ACRP's mission. Trustees serve one two-year term, and can be re-elected for one additional two-year term. As a Trustee, you must be able to commit time and expertise to Board service. Travel is required 3-4 times per year to locations in the United States. ACRP will cover travel expenses in accordance with the Travel Policy as updated by the Association Board of Trustees each year. Updated information on candidate criteria for 2013, established by the Nominating Committee, will be provided in April.

In addition, an updated Handbook for Board of Trustees Candidates to learn more about the roles, responsibilities, and time commitment required to serve on the ABoT will also be provided. Thank you for your interest and please remember to vote in 2012’s Board election.
